1) Always spread the product with your hands first. Seems simple right? There's nothing worse than putting product in your hair and seeing a glob of product in the front. Then you have to try to spread it in the hair hoping for the best, or just end up washing it out and starting over. Ain't nobody got time for that.
2) If you're using good products, less is usually more. Remember It's easier to put more product in, than it is to have to wash it out. (See tip 1) 3) The dryer the hair the stronger the hold. This is for molding pastes, waxes and finishing products. If you want extra hold, Blowdry your hair into the position you want it and then hit it with your styling product you spread out in your hands. (Again see tip 1) 4) All heat protectants are meant to be put in towel dried hair. Again simple right? It's also a good idea to spread the product throughout your hair either with a brush or comb. You want to get an even saturation so you have a consistent result. Nothing worse than having sleek roots with frizzy ends... yuk.
